list-checkTo-dos

To-dos let Filo surface every email that asks you to do something and keep it in a tidy checklist.

How To-dos are created

Stage

Logic

First-sync sweep

From the initial 100-email import Filo scans all unread messages from the last 48 hours—no matter whether they land in Important, Updates, or Promotions. Anything that clearly requests action (pay, confirm, review, sign, etc.) becomes a To-do.

Real-time detection

After the seed pass, every new email is analyzed the instant it arrives. If Filo’s AI spots an actionable request, a To-do is generated and linked to that message straight away. (Spam is ignored.)

Manual creation (from an email)

On any email, open … More → Create To-do. Rename the title if needed, choose a date & time, and Save. The To-do is created and linked to that email thread.

Manual creation (with AI)

On an email, tap Ask AI and tell Filo what you need—e.g., “Remind me to reply next Tuesday at 10am.” You’ll also see quick prompts you can pick with one tap. Filo creates the To-do and links it to the message.

Viewing & filtering

  • Switch views For desktop users, use the Active / Done toggle at the top of the To-do pane to jump between open tasks and completed ones. For mobile, simply click on the option icon, and select View Dones to see all the completed tasks.

  • Filter by status Click the filter icon next to Active / Done. Under Status, choose a category such as To Respond, Awaiting Reply, Meeting Update, Approval Needed, or Suggested Done to focus on one type of task.

  • Filter by priority In the same menu, use Priority to show only Low, Medium, or High items.

  • Filter by email account If you have multiple Gmail accounts connected, use Email Account to see To-dos from a single inbox.

You can combine status, priority, and account filters to narrow the list. Filo keeps To-dos ordered by date so the most recent items stay near the top.

Manual task creation and snoozing are still on the roadmap; for now, automatically captured To-dos plus simple done/delete and flexible filters keep your actionable mail visible, and nothing else.
