Custom Prompts
Filo lets you define the exact instructions its AI follows when it writes Summaries, Drafts, Quick Replies and Smart Filter. One saved prompt = one consistent style across every message.
What you can tell it to do
Shape summaries – “Summarize in 1–2 sentences” or “Return 3 bullet points with action items first.”
Tweak drafting tone – “Write polite but concise replies, ~120 words, end with ‘Best regards,’.”
Force classification – “Always mark emails from boss@filomail.com as Important” or “Move messages containing ‘invoice paid’ to Updates.”
Prompt-writing tips
Be explicit and concise. Short, direct instructions work best.
Include formatting cues. Markdown like bold, bullet lists, or numbered steps is respected.
Combine rules freely. One prompt can cover summaries, drafts, and categorization in any order.
Example all-in-one prompt
• Summarise threads in 2 bullets; list action items first.
• Draft replies: friendly business tone, ≤120 words, end with “Best regards,”.
• Auto-categorise any email from boss@example.com as Important.
