languageChange AI language & tone

Use the Settings → Language screen to control both the app’s interface language and the language Filo uses for Summaries & To-dos. Tone lives in the AI prompt.

1 · App interface language

  1. Open Settings → Language

  2. Tap App → choose System (follow device) or select a language from the list

  3. Relaunch Filo if the UI doesn’t refresh right away

2 · Summary & To-do language

  1. Still in Settings → Language

  2. Tap Summary & To-do

  3. Pick Auto (mirror the App/System language) or choose a specific language.

  4. All new Summaries and To-dos will now appear in that language; existing ones stay as-is

Tip Keep Auto on if you want AI output to follow whatever interface language you set.

3 · Adjust the tone

  1. Go to Settings → Customize AI

  2. In the single Custom Prompt box, add tone guidance, e.g.

  1. Tap Save—every future Summary, Draft, and Quick Reply will follow the new style

Notes & Tips

  • Interface vs. AI output — You can run Filo in English but have summaries returned in Japanese, or vice versa.

  • Custom Prompt scope — One prompt governs tone everywhere (Summaries, Drafts, Quick Replies).

  • Language coverage — Current options include English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, Français, Italiano, Deutsch, Español, Português, Русский, 한국어, العربية.
