Install in four quick steps

  1. Download the DMG that matches your Mac (Apple menu → “About This Mac” if you’re unsure).

  2. Open the DMG, then drag Filo.app into Applications.

  3. Launch Filo. If Gatekeeper nags, right-click → Open once to approve.

  4. Connect Gmail and approve the OAuth prompt—Filo never sees, stores, or forwards your password.

Why two builds? Native Apple Silicon code gives M-series Macs maximum speed and battery life, while the Intel build keeps pre-2020 machines in the game.

(First launch runs a quick integrity check; subsequent launches are instant.)

iOS — your inbox on the go

Filo is live on the global App Store—just search “Filo Mail,” tap Get, and sign in with your Gmail account.

Mainland-China & beta-curious users The App Store listing isn’t visible in CN right now, and some folks simply love living on the cutting edge. Grab our public TestFlight build instead—available here or the #official-links channel in Discord. The TestFlight version usually runs a few releases ahead of the App Store build, so you’ll see beta features first. Expect the occasional small glitch, and please send any weirdness our way via our feedback website or Discord #feedback.

What about Android, Windows & Web?

For the short run, we’re laser-focused on perfecting the Apple ecosystem experience (macOS + iOS). Android, Windows, and a browser-based client are firmly on the roadmap but haven’t entered active development yet.

Uninstalling Filo Mail

Drag Filo.app from Applications to Trash, then delete

~/Library/Application Support/Filo if you’d like to remove settings and cache. Reinstalling will simply re-sync from Gmail.
